A baby boy for Pam Scholz

Pam Scholz who joined us on our Cashton trips in 2005 and 2006 has delivered a healthy baby boy!

Matthew Jay (for daddy Jayson) was born Thurs. Oct. 9th at 4:16
He weighed 7.5 lbs and is 20 inches long

Mom and baby are doing great.

Obviously this bundle of joy will keep Pam from joinging us this year but we look forward to seeing her at future Sisterhood events.

Congratulations Pam!

Give Yourself a Gift

Who can resist giving yourself a gift?

Give yourself a give and capture small moments from your day. Check out these blogs for some way cool ideas:

and for a week long prospective:

Wouldn't you love to know what your Grandma's laundry room looked like, or maybe the inside of her refrigerator?! The ordinary can be extraordinary!

PS I am currently working on the week in my life - so watch out - I might snap your photo!

They Don't Call it Beta For Nothing

Well...I've heard back from several of you, that the documents I've linked in to our blog aren't working out quite the way I expected. So - don't worry - it's not you - it's Google!

I will try to find a suitable alternative for us (perhaps in the Google Groups page, which I think is working better than the Documents) and will let the group know how we're going to work on rides and tools for our upcoming weekend. You can expect to see another post later on in the week.

Happy Scrapping!

First Layout Challenge

Let's do a layout challenge!

Cyndi showed me the Pencil Lines blog...it has a weekly sketch, plus artist's interpretations. The link is in our "links" section on the right hand side of this blog. I thought, in honor of our newly created blog, we should do a layout challenge using the most recent sketch...Sketch 103.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout:

If you've got questions about Blogger, feel free to get in touch with me, or with Lisa Nippoldt...we've been using Blogger a little bit, and can help you get your creations posted for all to see.

Happy Scrapping!

Welcome To Our Blog!

Hello ladies...are you ready for some scrapbooking?

Welcome to the Sisterhood Blog! Hopefully it will be a place for us to share ideas, get inspired, and organize events througout the year. You will all be invited to be authors - follow the link you receive in e-mail, get signed in to Blogger, and you'll be able to create and manage your own posts...let's share our ideas and layouts!

I thought I'd highlight just a few things about what we've set up (so far):

1. Photo albums - using Picasa, we now have a place to upload albums to Picasa, and link them to our blog. I've got one album set up as a slide show, and another set up as a link. We can use these to show albums of our artwork as well as pictures!

2. Message Board - Google has a "groups" feature - I set up a message board for us. You'll all receive invitations...get yourself signed up and start posting!

3. Sign-ups - Google again - they have collaborative documents (it's like SharePoint for free!) that will work really well for sign-ups, etc. - again, follow the link, get signed in through Google to use. The one you'll see first is a sign-up sheet for rides to Cashton - I'll post more on that soon.

4. Links - I've got a few important links...but send me others you like! Cyndi gave me "Pencillines" - sketches and examples - check it out! I'll get them posted.

There will be lots more to follow - again, please share your ideas, and we'll continue to work to make this blog great!
